🧩 When the plan gets thrown out the window

đź’› Some moments matter more than the checklist.

Today I had a flashback.

A couple of months ago, I had my whole day mapped out, calls, emails, content, all lined up. And then Christian and Amanda decided it was Daddy & Mommy Day.

Not with words, they wanted to spend some time together in the patio.

So I closed the laptop. And we sat.
Nothing fancy. Just present.

That moment, unexpected and unplanned, ended up being the most important thing I did all day.

Parenting two kids, one with unique needs, doesn’t just ask for your time. It asks for your presence. And sometimes, that means being okay with getting interrupted, even when your to-do list is screaming at you.

Mind you, I’m writing this now and it sounds easy. But this mindset shift? It took us time. So if your day hasn’t gone “according to plan,” that’s okay.

Try to make just a little space for connection, believe me, it always helps.

P.S. What moment recently interrupted your day, but ended up mattering more than you expected? Hit reply and tell me. I’d love to hear.
