A Journey Fueled by Love..

Hello Family, Good day!

I want to share something near and dear to our hearts.

When our son was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, our world changed overnight, just as any parent's world would.

Suddenly, life was filled with denial, questions, research, fear of judgment, and an unrelenting drive to figure out how we could best support him.

Does this resonate with you?

We experienced the emotional journey that so many parents face. Overwhelmed by the unknown, we found ourselves navigating a sea of emotions.

Yet, amid the uncertainty, one thing became crystal clear: we would do whatever it took to help our son thrive.

I channeled my energy into creating a digital footprint through The Autism Voyage focused on building a supportive community while offering comprehensive insurance planning.

Meanwhile, Eli, my wife, took on a different but equally important role. She started attending every therapy session, taking detailed notes, and asking endless questions.

What began as an effort to better understand our son’s needs quickly turned into something more profound.

Eli realized she didn’t just want to support him at home, she wanted to equip herself with the skills to make a bigger impact.

That’s when she decided to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in 2023.

The decision wasn’t easy. Balancing her responsibilities as a mother while pursuing this new path meant late nights of studying, early mornings with our children, and moments where she doubted if she could manage it all.

But through it all, her determination never wavered.

For Eli, this journey wasn’t about building a career; it was about becoming the best advocate she could be for our son.

And along the way, she discovered a purpose that extended far beyond our family.

Today, Eli is not just an incredible mother but also a dedicated RBT. She works with children like our son, bringing the same love, empathy, and passion into every session.

Her story is a testament to the strength parents find in the face of challenges. It’s a reminder that growth often emerges from the most difficult moments.

To every parent out there navigating the unknown: You don’t need to have it all figured out. Take one step at a time, and trust that the love you have for your child will guide you.

Inspired by Eli’s journey, I published a post called RBT Guide: 6 Steps to Become a Registered Behavior Technician. This resource shares valuable insights for parents contemplating the same path, whether for their own families or to help others in their community.

If you’re considering taking this step, I encourage you to explore it. Together, we can create a world where every child and family feels supported.

P.S. Your story matters. Reply to this email with your questions, thoughts, or even just to share where you’re at. Every conversation brings us closer to making a difference together.

Thank you for letting me be a part of your journey!

Sincerely,

Michael Pereira
